We are now on a determined path to growth leading to great opportunities for personal and career growth. We are seeking a detailed and self-directed Design Coordinator, to join our existing team.

The Design Coordinator is key in developing and optimizing functional, aesthetically appealing, and efficient interior environments for public spaces by creating cohesive floor plan layouts using Arconas’ wide range of products and other design elements. A strong understanding of space planning principles, design software proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with clients, the sales teams, and internal departments is essential to delivering innovative solutions that align with project requirements.

Arconas is a hybrid work environment. Currently, employees are required to work from the Office a minimum of three days per week. During the onboarding and training period, new hires may be expected to work from the Office up to five days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing layouts for new or existing transportation and government spaces using CAD software, incorporating the company’s products
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team and clients on projects of various scales, ensuring optimal space usage, people flow, accessibility, and overall functionality
  • Deliver creative conceptual designs that align with project goals and the client’s vision
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and space standards
  • Provide layout recommendations for furnishings, electrical, and other elements
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Sales, R&D (Engineering), Installation, Marketing, and others
  • Develop and maintain organized and accurate CAD files for all assigned projects, adhering to strict deadlines while delivering high-quality plans
  • Prepare presentation materials for proposal presentations
  • Simplify 3D models into CAD symbols of new products, creating standard configuration illustrations
  • Contribute to the design of booth layouts, product fabric selection, and product preparation for trade shows
  • Assist in creating an inviting showroom that highlights the features and finishes of Arconas' products
  • Maintain swatches and finish samples of the Arconas’ products
  • Be responsible for or support other projects as assigned by your manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in interior design or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in the creation of space plan layouts
  • Strong understanding of interior design and product design
  • Passion for design with a creative approach to space utilization and optimizing people’s flow.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD 2024; experience with SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback from colleagues and supervisors to improve results
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Up to date with local and global design trends

Working Conditions

  • Working in an office environment, or have a home office set up with appropriate internet connections to work efficiently, with managerial approval based on operational needs

Physical Requirements

  • Ordinary office setting physical demands, sitting, and working on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds
