Doug Ball

Industrial Designer

Doug Ball worked on Arconas projects from 1995 to 2011. His work can been seen and used across the globe, in airports, corporate settings and government offices. Doug is an Industrial Design graduate of the Ontario College of Art. He is also a member of the FADIQ and IDSA associations. The integration of technology and design has always fascinated Douglas. This serves as his inspiration and continues to challenge him to new designs as technology evolves.

Mr. Fentress has been awarded highest honors from both the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Thomas Jefferson Award, recognizing “a portfolio of accomplishments that evidences great depth while making a significant contribution to the quality of public architecture,” amongst many others.

Designer

Michael McCoy is the first recipient of the Smithsonian’s Design Minds National Design Award for having ‘affected a paradigm shift in design thinking‘. His designs have won many awards including the Red Dot Award and the IDSA Gold Award and are in the permanent design collections of New York’s Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum.

Luke Pearson and Tom Lloyd setup design studio Pearson Lloyd in 1997. Since then, the London-based practice has worked across the workplace, aviation, urban design and healthcare sectors with a goal to identify and respond to the shifting patterns of behaviour in contemporary life. In 2008, Tom and Luke were awarded the distinction of Royal Designers for Industry by The Royal Society of Arts, and in August 2012 were named one of the top 50 designers ‘Shaping the Future’ by Fast-Co Magazine in New York.

Davide Tonizzo

Industrial Designer

Davide Tonizzo is a designer of diverse skill and experience. The Toronto native studied Mechanical Engineering at Ryerson University before embarking on his industrial design career. He began his work experience in Turin, Italy with the prestigious design house, I.DE.A Institute, designing cars for Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Lancia and other brands. As well, he completed numerous furniture and lighting projects for leading Italian manufacturers. Davide has received numerous awards for his products and his work has appeared in many international design publications.
